THE SIMPLEST BENCHTOP CELL COUNTER

The NORMA XS, based on the new lens-less technology, is the simplest automatic benchtop cell counter for cell culture monitoring. It rapidly measures cell concentration and viability without repeatability compromise. The NORMA XS provides an unmatched accuracy and precision thanks to its wide field of view (29.4 mm2) that allows counting several thousand of cells within a single sample image! No need to adjust focus, brightness or any other parameters, our algorithm will reconstruct cells wherever cells are located… from a few micrometres to some millimetres! There is no sample preparation: no dilution and no Trypan Blue! You just have to take about 3µL of your sample and to deposit it on the measuring slide. These characteristics make the NORMA XS an extremely robust device not fearing temperature variation or any other parameter which can affect traditional focus adjustment.

The NORMA XS is very easy to use !

WHAT ARE THE RESULTS ?

Then, the technology directly acquires the light diffraction properties of each individual cells through their hologram images without any settings. Several thousands of holograms are acquired into one single image that is immediately “reconstructed” with our HORUS holographic algorithm to obtain a microscopic like picture; at this stage cells can be segmented. Living and dead cells have significant holographic patterns that can be distinguished and accurately count.

The measurement results are returned by the HORUS software. Each parameter is visible on a simple graphical interface with the possibility to follow several running cultures on user friendly charts.
